The brief
FUNN, a Sharjah foundation for media arts among children and young people, wanted an event on special effects in film and television that taught as much as it entertained. A walk-through movie studio, with film sets across the hall. Each set taught one craft: effects makeup, props and animals, faking seasons and weather, lighting and camera tricks. We flew in 20 cinema and special effects experts from Egypt to build and run them. 2,000 visitors over two days, and coverage across UAE media.
